Would it be stupid to pick a college without ever touring it?

so i got into 4 colleges and i want to tour 2 which are up north from me, about a 6 hour drive. my parents have put it off, like they are in denial or something that the time is dwindling away. my mom is in disbelief i want to drive that far and thinks im asking too much to simply look at the school before i pick where i am going to move. is this reasonable? what do i say to convince them? i dont wanna pick without touring and hate it or something.
