I would say you're doing things right. One of my little dogs was abused when only a puppy and was left shut in a garden shed for the first few months of her life - the nervousness and timid behavious has never left her, even eight years on, and we're always aware of how things can stress her out so easily, so we try not to use raised voices around her (everyone has to have the odd argument though!) and we do our utmost not to startle her. She is so very well behaved though, so we've never really had to deal with correcting bad behaviour, other than she is very possessive when it comes to her toys, and smacking or any other dominance towards her has not had to be an issue. I think the firm voice and sending to the basket/cushion is the best way forward. Funny how they are out to please you - so they dont like the firm voice, seen as being told off and in bad books.

I read this article too. This is part of the problem with education, they set you up to fail. It is very unethical and they should be more supportive of their students. Many of the higher science profs are more interested in research and don't want students, which is why they do this.

Why did my husband change after we got married?

A lady that my husband works with kept telling my husband that as soon as we got married I would change and stop doing things for him and eventually take his house, savings and property away from him and that my behavior would change and that I would turn into a different person. She is a very unhappy and negative person and my husband and I understand that. We lived together for 2.5 years before we got married and life was perfect. He finally trusted and loved me enough to ask me to marry him. Then HE did a lot of changing. Recently, I got caught stealing at Walmart. This was my first time and will be my last time stealing. It was mostly due to peer pressure and all that. i am trying to build a supernova naturally, and although i believe you can buy/find a straight steal gun later in the game, i am finding it easier to just build up my weapons now, which would involve me leveling up to it trough a question shooter, which automatically gives you poverty. if i were to put on a wealth coin to it now before i build it up, would it counteract the automatic poverty and keep it from appearing since the wealth was the first ability on the gun?

Try adding some seasonings. On fish try adding some lemon juice and onion/garlic powder. On grilled chicken breast I like to add fat-free italian dressing or yogurt honey mustard. If you really feel like you have to eat some sort of carb, have a small-medium potato or some brown rice.

To be honest, it needs to be changed completely. I know the whole point of your story is for it to be a parody, but seriously, the last thing that the world needs write now is another cliched story. My dad has bad teeth , HELP!?

My dads teeth started to dwindle away years ago because of stress , and bad dentistry he is 50 years old and his teeth are horrible , he doesn't have any chewing surfaces in his mouth other than his front teeth. (He suffers every day yet he rarely shows it) and he really don't get good sleep.. We don't have enough money to fix his teeth , and i don't want him to wear dentures , he is still too young to lose his teeth and still in decent shape. I dont know what to do I want his teeth to get fixed really bad. He dont go out as much any more because of how self contious he is. I want my dad to have a teeth make over but I highly doubt that will ever happen. Please help me I am so scared, I just got fired at my job at subway for theft. Before I was leaving on the 18th, I don't know what came over me but I took three cookies from the drawer. These cookies totaled at $3.00. When I came in today at work I was made to sign the termination form reason being theft. Why can't I find a job? Hopes and dreams.?

So, here's the story. I can't find a job doing what I love. I went to school for Graphic Design from 2003-2004. In 2005 I started my own business, a VHS to DVD website, and I offered many special upgrades, music video highlights and other services. As soon as business started to pick up, Walgreens started offering the exact service I was to customers. As soon as word of mouth spread, my business dwindled down to practically nothing. Now here I am looking for work. I am an excellent video editor. I also do very well with photoshop, but these days...so does every 7 year old kid on my block. I'm 40 years old. My wife makes great money. Really good money, but now the bills are getting tight, and she is getting frustrated with my low amount of income. I'm not trying to do that BOOHOO is me deal, or whoa is me..whatever it is. I honestly feel like a part of me is dying. I don't tell her this, because I'm 100% sure she don't want to hear it. I've produced many entertaining, uplifting, enjoyable videos spread across the internet, and have received loads of praises for my work. This is why looking for work in my field is so important. European Starlings: Any good ideas on how to manage the invasive populations?

I just noticed a flock of the introduced/invasive European starlings settling into my backyard trees and making nests. They are scaring off the native birds such as woodpeckers, western bluebirds, etc. and I am worried about them harming some of the native birds eggs, which they have been known to do. I really enjoy our native birds and their populations have dwindled by so many factors including cats. They also apparently carry a host of diseases and have been know to be big pests to the agricultural industry. I would really like to find a way to rid them without having to resort to poisons. Traps, etc? Any tips on how others have managed them and their invasive nature would be helpful.

My mom died about 2 months ago, and my brother is constantly on me to move back home. I should point out that I am 41 years old, and up until recently have had a full-time job. I am a victim of the economy and am trying to get another one. I have enough to live on for now, but he seems to think that my savings will be dwindled soon, and is constantly asking me what's in my bank account. Our porch is littered with dead june bugs that fly into the door and die. My lab thinks that they're tasty treats apparentally, because she will try to eat every single one. She'll pick one up or sniff at it, I tell her no, and she moves on to the next one. It's a constant battle and if she does eat one she'll end up puking all day. Every morning I sweep them into the grass where she's too lazy to pick them out, but it would nice if I could take her on a walk without having to stop. Im getting fat but I like it?

I've always been slim but it's fair to say over the last few months I've gotten a bit big. Over winter I adopted some unhealthy eating habits that have carried on throughout the year adding about 30lbs to my weight making me around 185lbs. I never used to care for food much but now it all seems so tasty! I can happily eat through loads of biscuits and cakes, I now eat 2 chocolate cream filled eclairs everyday without fail, I know I shouldn't but they taste so damn nice. What is the best course of action for my dog?

I own a 9 year old medium-sized schnauzer he has always been a fun-loving, active, and playful dog but as of recently he has changed dramatically. My dog has always eaten a mixture of human and dog food.Believe me, I fought with my parents and sister about him eating human food but they wouldn't listen to me. We found out a month ago he has diabetes(I knew it but they didn't want to believe me) after he was taken to the vet because his urine was sticky in nature. The vet said he had to take insulin and that he should return for his first injection next week. A week passed and after failing to come up with the money we decided we wouldn't be able to pay for his insulin injections or his regular visits to the vet( most diabetic dogs have regular visits to the vet, the vet explained this to us). Because we couldn't afford his insulin we decided to better his eating habits we strictly fed him dog food and he was fine, he was eating, he was losing weight but not dramatically, he looked fit again and had so much energy, his health was great. He later developed this scabby looking patch on his hindside, I did some research and was scared it could be mange(it wasn't). Also it was around this time that he started to look quite emaciated and had almost lost his once voracious appetite, he was still eating but not quite as much. Anyways, we were able to take him to the vet (visit alone cost us 98 dollars but it was really bothering him) he was given an antibiotic injection and a topical spray for the patch it was not mange either just a spring allergic reaction. The patch healed nicely and we thought he was going to be okay but now his health has really taken a turn for the worse. He only wishes to drink water and does not eat, my mom has bottle fed him some Pedialyte just so he has SOME type of nutrients in his system. We have tried to feed him dog food as well as people food (things like boiled rice, grain cereals, or pieces of boiled chicken, anything at all that might add some weight to his stomach). He looks very drained and sleepy all the time and has developed a sort of black film at the bottom of his eye that does cover almost the half of his eye. His worst symptoms are that he appears incredibly lethargic, i can see it in his face that he is just enervated. He sleeps most of the day because he has no energy to go for walks (I tried walking him he has to pause a lot and I realized it was uncomfortable for him so I no longer take him for walks). He also has this limp because he sleeps all day and isnt moving or being active. This is all stemming from him not eating because he has literally NOTHING in his stomach except water which he drinks by the gallon fulls so much so he will even vomit. He was eating some smallt hings up until this week but between today and yesterday I dont feel he's eaten more than a treat, the only thing he would eat. It pains me to see him like this because he has been a part of my life for 9 years (since I was 8) and we simply can't afford to have him on insulin, which may or may not be the cause of his dwindling health. We are currently trying to save up to take him to the vet to see if perhaps he has some sort of virus or it's just a result of his diabetes we simply dont have enough money to pay for a treatment so we are considering putting him down but if it's something that can be treated we hopefully can help him. I'm 16 and have been bullied throughout my life for being different. Also my family is kind of poor and I do not have the things that the more popular girls adore. My grades are poor no mater how hard I try and I am always very ill which again people make fun of me about-and i may have to retake the year. I think that something must be really wrong with me for this bullying cycle to happen continually. There are lots of great careers that meet your criteria so in order to pick a major in college you should narrow down a bit. You have a great start in your analysis in that you are looking at both personality traits and aptitude. One recommendation is to take several of the free online personality and aptitude tests which will give some ideas of which career fields suit you best. Take several on different days and compare the results. Look for trends that point toward a field of study that interests you, Once you narrow it down talk to someone in that career field to find out what it really like. I have a cisco E2000 and when im playing black ops my connection is terribly low even though it is technically right beside me and no one else is logged on to it. I'm getting fat but I like it?

I've always been slim but it's fair to say over the last few months I've gotten a bit big. Over winter I adopted some unhealthy eating habits that have carried on throughout the year adding about 30lbs to my weight making me around 185lbs. The only negative is my rapidly expanding waistline and the fact I spend a lot of my allowance on snacks and food. I never used to care for food much but now it all seems so tasty! I can happily eat through loads of biscuits and cakes, I now eat 3 chocolate cream filled eclairs everyday without fail, I know I shouldn't but they taste so damn nice. The only person who makes critical remarks is my mum as she says she doesn't want a fat son and she's tired of buying me bigger and bigger clothes. 3 month old daughter with feeding problems?

My daughter is three months old and up until one week ago I was producing more than enough milk to fill her up. This past Monday I had ankle surgery and since then my supply started to dwindle. Should I buy a laptop or build a good computer for college?

I will be heading off to college in one year and I'm planning on majoring in Computer Science/Aviation. Since CS requires a lot of programming, calculating, and number crunching, I was guessing I'd build a nice rig for around $700 (excluding monitor, keyboard, mouse). However, if I have a retarded roommate it could get destroyed, stolen, etc. But it will be very comfortable and FAR more powerful than any laptop I could purchase for the same price (around $1200-$1500). But if I got a laptop I could take it wherever, even when I visit my parents and do my work outside. But I'm a gamer so hardware is something I LOVE and need for my games. Plus, building a computer is fun. So yeah, WHAT SHOULD I DO???

I recently put a bird feeder in my backyard and had, had the honor of seeing a male and female cardinal and two pigeons ( also female and male i suspect) well these two pigeons like to rest under the bird feeder and take naps and such. its like a bed and breakfast for them. what worries me though its that they rest on the ground. what if a nieghborhood cat climbs the backyard fence and sees this two pigeons as a tasty meal? I would like to give the pigeons some shelter. I know i could use a birdhouse but i feel squirrels may go in instead of the pigeons. Also do cardinals mate during the summer?
